Accessibility Testing Services UK
WCAG-oriented accessibility testing for UK products: keyboard, structure, names, and contrast on the journeys you name. Evidence for an Equality Act or PSBAR conversation — not a legal opinion or a conformance badge.
Why UK teams search this
UK buyers often arrive with a procurement questionnaire, a public-sector duty, or a complaint that the product fails a keyboard or a screen reader. They type “accessibility audit,” “WCAG audit,” or “accessibility testing services.”
The work is structured checks against the WCAG success criteria you care about, on the journeys you name. The global page is accessibility testing services. This page adds the UK context: why the search happens, and what we will not pretend to be.
Nexus Eclipse is not a law firm, not a certification body, and not a GDS assessor. We do not issue a conformance badge, an Equality Act legal opinion, or a completed VPAT unless that artefact is separately scoped and limited to what we actually tested.
The legal names people mean (and what we do)
UK conversations often mention:
- Equality Act 2010 — a legal duty for many organisations. We do not advise on whether you comply. We can produce test evidence a lawyer or accessibility lead can use.
- Public Sector Bodies Accessibility Regulations (PSBAR) — typically WCAG-oriented requirements for public-sector sites. We can test the journeys you name against the criteria you name. We do not sign you off as “PSBAR compliant.”
- WCAG 2.2 AA — the usual technical bar we test against when you ask for it.
If you need a formal audit from a named UK accessibility consultancy with a courtroom report style, say so. We will not stretch a QA engagement into that.
What’s at risk without evidence
- Keyboard traps and missing focus
- Controls with no accessible name
- Contrast that fails the criteria you claim in a tender
- Dynamic content that never reaches assistive technology
- A buyer question you answer with a slide instead of URLs and dates
What we test
- Keyboard access on in-scope journeys
- Structure: headings, landmarks, labels, errors
- Names, roles, and states on custom controls
- Contrast on the screens in scope (sampled, not every hex in the design system)
- Basic screen-reader smoke on a named combination (for example NVDA + Chrome, or VoiceOver + Safari) when scoped
We do not claim every WCAG criterion on every page. A useful report says which criteria, which URLs, which date.
Related: usability testing for task friction that is not a WCAG failure. Functional testing still has to pass or accessibility testing is noise.
How we staff it for a UK team
Same testers as the rest of the site, from Islamabad, with a planned UK-hours window for walkthroughs. See offshore QA. Geography does not change the method.
If you also need testers on the release, pair this with QA outsourcing. Accessibility findings that never get re-tested are decoration.
Our approach
- Agree the standard (for example WCAG 2.2 AA) and the journey list
- Combine automated helpers with manual checks — automation alone is not accessibility testing
- Log failures with the criterion, the URL, and how to reproduce
- Re-test fixes on the same journeys
Deliverables
- Findings mapped to success criteria and URLs
- What was not tested
- A re-test pass on the items you fix
No invented “score out of 100.” No badge you can put on a homepage.
FAQs
Is this an accessibility audit?
It is audit-style testing on a named scope. We use “audit” carefully. The output is evidence, not a legal sign-off.
Will this make us WCAG conformant?
Only for the pages and criteria in the report, as of the test date. Conformance is a claim you make.
Do you cover the Equality Act or PSBAR?
We test the product against WCAG criteria you name. We do not provide legal advice on those regulations.
Do you write a VPAT or an accessibility statement?
A VPAT only if scoped, and only covering what we tested. An accessibility statement is your document; we can supply findings you may cite.
How do we start?
Book a QA consultation. Bring the URLs, the standard you are claiming, and whether this is a tender, a public-sector duty, or a product launch.

Send the product URL and the date. We will map a UK-hours overlap and a model — or tell you to hire locally instead.
