Purpose

RecBeam is a private screen recorder built for Chrome. It lets you record your screen, a browser tab, or your camera - with microphone and tab audio - and share the result through a single private, unlisted link, without requiring the viewer to have an account.

The problem it solves

Quick screen recordings for walkthroughs, bug reports, or explanations often mean choosing between clunky tools, forced sign-ups for viewers, or recordings uploaded to a cloud service before you’ve decided you want to share them at all. RecBeam is built local-first: recordings stay on your device until you choose to share.

How it works

1. Record - capture your screen, a browser tab, or your camera, with microphone and tab audio, directly from your browser. Recordings start saved locally.
2. Upload - when you’re ready to share, sign in and upload the recording. Until then, it stays on your device.
3. Share - get a private, unlisted link. Anyone with the link can watch; nobody else can find it by browsing or searching.

Privacy

RecBeam is built so the private moments in a screen recording stay private:

• Recordings are captured and stored on your device before any upload
• Share links are unlisted - not searchable or public by default
• RecBeam does not sell personal information
• Recordings and accounts can be deleted on request

Uploaded recordings are stored using Cloudflare R2, with basic recording details (title, duration) stored using Cloudflare D1. Full details are available in RecBeam’s privacy policy.

Is RecBeam affiliated with Google or Chrome?

No. RecBeam is an independent product by Nexus Eclipse (Pvt) Ltd. Google Sign-In is offered only as an authentication option.

Who can see a recording I share?

Anyone with the exact share link. Links aren’t listed publicly or indexed by search engines, but they aren’t password-protected - treat a share link like any private but unencrypted link.

Is RecBeam free?

Pricing hasn’t been finalized yet. Details will be announced before anything changes for existing users.
